The History of Seguinot
Heritage and Excellence of Cognac
This story begins well before, in the 13th century, when the first generations of the Seguinot family, originally from the Nordic countries, settled in Vendée.
Driven by values of solidarity, sincerity and a deep attachment to the land, over the centuries the Seguinot have built up a solid cultural and agricultural heritage.

A unique terroir in the heart of Charente
The birth of Seguinot
At the end of the 19th century, when the Cognac region was hit by the phylloxera crisis, Émile Seguinot perceived the untapped potential of these abandoned lands. In 1890, he founded the Maison Seguinot, committed to producing exceptional cognacs with respect for tradition.
Émile Seguinot lays the foundations of an authentic house, where each stage of production reflects a sincere attachment to the terroir and excellence.
A know-how transmitted for more than 120 years
Today, Gérard Seguinot, representing the fifth generation, perpetuates the family heritage with the same requirement and passion. Thanks to a unique know-how, our eaux-de-vie, exclusively from the Grande Champagne, reflect the richness and authenticity of our terroir.
This constant search for excellence allows us to offer refined cognacs, appreciated by connoisseurs around the world.
